Watch out conspiracy theory. If Berhanu Nega wins an election in the future, you and your likes could be portrayed as the other Weyane known as የማለዳ ጂብ All these innuendos are damaging. Ermyas is a bright guy but he is fake. He is an opportunist. But, I don't believe that he is working with the Egyptians. Ermiyas is viewed as a threat. His comment about the the 10 Amhara vs. 1000 Oromo was uncalled for and stupid. Any perceived minority group power threat will be crashed in the future. Ethiopia's stability will be determined by Amharas and Oromos into the forseable future. The contention between the two will never be resolved . But, equitable power sharing will guarantee stability. Weyanes are done. Unfortunately, the weyanes have left the people of Tigray in a dire situation.

The claim could be true or wrong. But how can someone reconcile the saying in the part i highlighted above?

If it is true, then your claim of being a patriot and Ethiopian nationalist is simply a mere lip service or lie. You can't be a patriot without even daring to denounce a triator of the same country you claim to be its patriot.

If it is wrong, then such scale of malign of an Ethiopian is a damage to the country itself and can't be seen or considered as an issue of just 2 individuals. Here also a patriot needs to take a stand on such issues of grave scale. If a single individual becomes a victim of injustice, then the whole nation is also a victim of injustice. And in the land of patriots such things shouldn't happen.

Specially, if this is found to be a fabrication, then there is no guarantee that this will not happen the next time on an even larger scale and then the question will be what have been the patriots doing while all these were happening?

Someone who doesn't even dare to take a stand on an issue of such scale can't be a patriot, don't abuse the name and its reputation, please.

Seyum and Ermias...both claim to have mixed ethnic heritage but, stood at polar extremes in terms of their political views.

In normal times we could have taken their differences and entertain the merits of their ideas.Alas! We are not there yet.

Seyum declares that he is against identity politics and campaigns indiscriminately against those he labeled as ethnic parties...unless of course, they are part of the leading ethnic parties in the country. Hypocrisy isn't enough of a word...

Ermias used to be part of the main makers and shakers of the OPDO leadership a few years ago and, now he is never tired of harshly criticizing his former comrades. He slides back and forth between his clashing ethnic heritage to possibly find the none existing middle.

Some of us here cheer for one side somedays and condemn the other. We do switch sides often times to the extent that we forget which sides we were at the day before.

What a confusing and confused time and politics that only is focused on the now and divorced of yesterday and tomorrow.

ሌላ ትልቅ ነገር ይህ ይህ ነው። አንድ ፖለቲከኛ ያዘለው፣ በውስጡ የደበቀው ፍላጎት፣ መሻት፣ ሞቲቨ እንዴት እናውቃለን የሚለው ነው። የኤርሚያ ገፊ ሞቲቨ ምንድን ነው? የስዩም ገፊ ሞቲቭ ምንድን ነው? ይህን በትክክል ለማወቅና በማንኛውም ግዜና ቦታ አንድን የፖለቲካ አቅቲቪስት ፍላጎት ለመለካት የራሳችን ዜዴ ወይም መለኪያ እንዲኖረን ግድ ይላል።

እዚህ ፎርም ላይ ደጋግሜ ፖስት እንዳደረጉት የሚከተሉት 4 ሳይንሳዊ መለኪያውን እጠቀማለሁ፤ ማንኛውም ፖለቲከኛ ከሚከተሉት ሞቲቮች ቢያንስ አንዱ ወይም ሁሉም አራቱም ገፊ ሞቲቮቹ ናቸው (እሱ አወቀም አላወቀ)። እነሱም ስልጣን (ሃይል)፣ ገንዘብ (ሃብት)፣ ዝና (መታወቅ) እና ክብር (ማንነትን ጭምር)። በቃ ! ስለዚህ አንድ የኢትዮጵያ አርበኛም ሆነ፣ ናሽናሊስት፣ ዜጋ ፖለቲከኛ ሆነ ሌላ እነዚህ 4 ሞቲቮችን ከኢትዮጵያ አጀንዳ ጋር ካላጣጣመ በሱ ፍላጎትና በኢትዮጵያ ፍላጎት መሃል ቅራኔ ስለሚፈጥርበት ያ ሰው ለእኔ አይመቸኝም። የጎሳ ፖለቲከኞች ግዙፍ ችግር ይህ ነው ። ዎያኔ 45 አመት ይህ ሳይገባው የወደቀ ፍጡር ነው።

The president of Egypt should know the Ethiopia of today is not the Ethiopia of so many decades ago. Many decades ago the colonizers played God. They wrote their own justice. The Ethiopia of that time detested the injustice, but had no power to resist it. Not anymore.
Ethiopia believes in peace, and strives to achieve it even under difficult circumstances . But if any country, including Egypt , tries to sabotage what is the right of hers, she will fight hard to keep the right of hers. Building the dam to harvest energy to better the lives of her citizens is the right of hers. No earthly power can take that right of hers.
But I agree with Horus implied desire : the Abiy administration should do everything in its power to bring to justice those who tried to sell Ethiopians interest on open market.

Yes, Ethiopia has won. In fact, if you consider the large and long geopolitics and Nilopolitics of our region, the Tigray incident was a single battle in the great Ethio-Egyptian war. The emerging Ethiopian potential and possible integral development of the Horn and East Africa is what is worrying Egypt; the inevitable shifting balance of influence in our part of the world. Ethiopia as a power house of water and electricity is what Egypt doesn't want to see. Well, the game is on!
