The Holy Bible, from Genesis to Revelations, is mostly written in parables. That is the genius of the Old and New Testaments, there are mysteries contained on every page for those who seek it and are observant enough to understand allegories. The same way Satanic people hide grotesque symbols in plain site, prophets and disciples of Christ likewise hid gems upon gems of profound stories wrapped in enigmas.
I believe they did this so the Bible’s true power does not get co-opted by those with evil intentions. I often say that the devil is God in reverse; he is a grating mimicker who tries to emulate light even though all he knows is darkness. I am picking up the pen this evening to thus unlock another seal, one that is visible for a few even though this object has enslaved humanity.
I am of course referring to money, or as the Bible refers to it, mammon. Yeshua noted that the source of all evil is money, Pharisees who crucified Him immediately inverted his teachings and changed his message to convey that “the source of evil is the love of money”. The devil, as always, is in the detail; all of us, whether or not we believe it, love money. How many of us work at jobs we hate because we are compelled by paychecks?
In revelations, parables become harder to decipher. However, I think I have deciphered the meaning of the following verse:
“And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.” ~ Revelation 13:16
