Abe,

FYI - Just responded to another post regarding " negro" business; I am using it again here.

Even that young "fool" yaballo posted in 1957, (chances are he may not even be an Amhara because HIM sent oversees more others to study abroad then) who said he is not of a "negro" blood? Likely wanted to tell the whites that he was never a "slave". In other words, he knew he was "black" all along as an Ethiopian. No Ethiopian says I am not black.

A while back, Tsegaye Ararsa accused Menelik of telling some white reporter that he was not a "negro"; at that time Menelik's definition or understanding of a "negro" was a "slave" so he would definitely tell any one that he was not one.

At the same time, in another date, there was a documentation on Menelik for saying to a Sudanese Dervish leader, "I am "black", you're "black" let is get together and fight our enemies". The fact is, there are still Ethiopians who are confused when asked, are you a "negro"? Even some Afro-Americans don't want to be called "negro" for that matter; they look at themselves the free Ethiopians.

So the yaballo's & other "ethnic pimps" bring out such low ball dirty stuff accusations when ever they get routed, defeated and eliminated from Ethiopia's sky for another 100 years to come; messing with "Ethiopiawinet".

They were told to correct course many times but, they didn't listen. Now they cry like a baby!

That Alula, the last man standing defending TPLF in the diaspora; I admire him for that a little but, what a waste of time for him to lower oneself bringing "ethnic" politics down to churches, Enjera & Berbere. After TPLF became the leaders of the country, Alula & Co. should have lowered building exclusive Tigrayan Community Centers & work on Ethiopian centers but, they didn't listen; they flaunted it all over USA; disgusting! How damn can you be? And now, If you've to, at least go to boycott EAL or Ethio-Telecom or something? What is wrong with these people?

I feel sorry for them but, can't help them now; it's too late.

King Menelik Has Investments Here
Special Correspondence THE NEW YORK TIMES

“Menelek is himself an altogether unique figure among African potentates. As a. diplomat, as a financier and as a soldier he can hold his own with the most up-to-date of his brother sovereigns. As a soldier and a diplomat, he showed his worth at the time of Italy’s defeat by the Abyssinians. In late years, however, it is particularly as a financier that Menelek has distinguished himself. He had a natural bent for finance, even as a young man, before his accession to the throne, and at that time went in for stock speculation on the; Paris Bourse to a considerable extent. These youthful speculations proved successful, and were only interrupted by the events which followed Menelik’s accession.

“To-day the Abyssinian ruler has extended the range of his financial operations to the United States, and is a heavy investor in American railroads. What with, his American securities and his French and Belgian mining investments, Menelik has a private fortune estimated fit no less than twenty-five million dollars.

“The most striking fact about Abyssinia’s dusky ruler,” said Baron de Jarisburg in conclusion “is his versatility, an accomplished linguist, he speaks French English, and Italian fluently. Notwithstanding all the time he is compelled to devote to state affairs, he still finds the opportunity to keep up in current European literature, and is rarely at a. loss when a new author is mentioned. At Adiss Ababa Palace, Menelik’s habitual residence, the Negus—to give him the title by which he is known to his subjects—takes particular pride in his library of ten thousand volumes collected by himself. Menelik’s chief hobbies in the way of books are works dealing with the ancient civilizations of Africa and Asia.”
