How Sudan captured the hearts and minds of Tigray people?

Sudan calls Tigrayans "'our brothers"'. Sudan supported Tigrayans attacked by Amhara and Eritrea forces, when they had to flee Gonder in 2018. Sudan accepted those Tigrayans fleeing Gonder and transported them to Meqelle. Now again, around 40000 refuges from Tigray are fleeing to Sudan. Sudanese have been frequenting Meqelle and other parts of Tigray specially Humera and other towns in Wolqait. On the contrary, amharas from Ethiopia have been killing Tigrayans and destroying their property. Eritreans have been part of the massacre of Tigrayans in amhara region. In the current war of Tigray's resistance against the illegal government of Ethiopia, Eritrea has supported Abiy ahmed's troops and Tigray has lost many lives and property worth billions of dollars.
As Tigray marches to resist against the illegal fascist government in Addis Ababa, the historical relationship between Tigray and Sudan might grow to a higher scale as the result of which Sudan and Tigray might form a confederation or close co-operation. Tigray might separate from Ethiopia and join Sudan in a form of federation.
