Sellassie purchased the names and addresses of 5,000 people to fabricate donations. He went on to use 1,300 of those names and addresses to support his illegal Gift Aid tax relief claims. Evidence gathered by HMRC confirmed the donations had not been made. This was a despicable crime that saw Sellassie use the identities of innocent taxpayers to steal from the nation’s finances, while pretending to support vulnerable people overseas with serious health issues. He thought he could abuse the Gift Aid system to greatly enhance his lifestyle without getting caught. He was wrong and will now pay the price for his criminal actions.
The charity was de-registered by the Charity Commission and removed as a charitable organisation three days after Sellassie was arrested by HMRC in September 2013.relief of people suffering from HIV, particularly those from Africa and the Caribbean, by providing a confidential mother tongue counselling and advice service and by improving access to HIV and AIDS treatment in Africa.
It's unusual for an Eritrean nationalist posting something negative on an Eritrean national? What is up with this?Zmeselo wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 21:45Eyob Ghebre Sellassie, DOB 05.01.69, a British national originally from Eritrea, of Snowdrop Court, Lower Mardyke Avenue, Rainham, Essex, was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for two years on both of the two counts. He was disqualified from being a company director for five years.
I can't imagine HRW shall be short of clients. The Dir. Ken may have made a mistake under this unique circumstances; the incident took place in "Tigrai" with a TPLF leadership on the run. Some fake news circulating aside, a foreigner can't imagine an escaping local force massacres its own people? Off course we know better, because the incident took place in forcefully annexed Amhara territory.Zmeselo wrote: ↑30 Nov 2020, 22:02"Aid" organizations, function like any other share company/corporation. So even if he isn't directly paid by the weyane, their cashcow junta being eliminated from the HoA hurts them in the long run. It's like when a drug dealer, can't find any addict to sell his s**t to.
