The Amharisation of Ethiopia by Haile Selassie to create a centralist unitary state like France has not worked

Amharisation of Ethiopia has created anti-Amhara sentiment in Ethiopia where the Amhara have become victims by non-Amhara, who make the majority. The Amhara are not even Ethiopians. They are migrants from other parts of Africa.
Under Haile Selassie, school children were taught in Amharic. The Amhara felt they had special privilege. The amhara did not speak other languages and had a culture which is different from Tigray, Oromo or Afar. Tigray tolerated Amharas most. In Oromo. Somali, Afar, Sidama etc the Amhara were resented.
Amharisation was wrong. The Amhara dance in a primitive way and their songs or music are mostly about robbery ( the word "geday" meaning "killer" is frequent in their verses) Astonishingly, Amharic became the preaching language for The Orthodox Church. The Church should not have done this because Amharic is not good enough to be used for the spirituality. The Amharic language does not have the concepts and phrases to bring peace to the people by preaching the word of God.
Haile Selassie should have tried multi-lingual approach where every one speaks their language with English as a working language. To be honest, Oromos have the most advanced dance and music in Africa. It is a pity The Amhara dehumanized Oromos and their culture. Sidama, Wolaita etc have also beautiful dance and music. The Somalis and Afars dance also graciously. There is the beautiful dance and music of Tigray. Thus Amharisation was a failure from start.
