Foreign powers are putting pressure on Abiynesh because they know how much they will lose if Ethiopia breaks into pieces, not just the monumental humanitarian crises that will usher. But, Abiynesh is already realizing wedi komarit has put him into a jam by making him take the unrealistic miltary option that could cost him his power. Abiynesh has learned a lesson and wants an exit.
The problem is that it's not Abiynesh whose going to be dethroned 800 km away; it's wedi komarit, 50 km away, whose gonna be driven out to seek refuge in Hawassa. That way, Issu will spend his precious retirement years with his lover Abiynesh.
