#2. Fatal mistake was to listen to the Americans in handing over power to the Oromos in 2018...agreeing to handover power with no agreement or forgiveness on their crimes as a bargaining for handover power—- they were just to dumb to see what was coming to them after the soft coup

They made the Amhara people and Orthodoxy as their Number 1 Enemy. Sibhat Negga has nasty things to say on that subject.

I disagree with number two. They had no choice at that moment. The Americans were fed for nearly three decades the TPLF propaganda, and they believed it : Ethiopia will dismember if TPLF ceases ruling her.
The Americans after knowing the unrest mostly in Oromia, and to some extent in Amhara region, they seemed to have concluded in fact TPLF was the problem. I am just guessing here : the Americans might have convinced the former prime minister to resign, smoothing the way for the next Prime Minister to come.
All the mistakes mentioned, however, have been the result of one fact : the TPLF politician brains were frozen. For the last nearly half a century they believed one dogma, and they will die with that dogma. They have no ability — or more precisely desire — to build up knowledge as society is transforming in light speed.
Fifty years ago they said the Amharas were the problem. Just a month or so ago, they gave orders to the OLF armed wing to kill Amharas in Wellega, and they were killed.
A frozen mind with a dangerous dogma filled is a dangerous combination. In other words, the TPLF politicians have been the victim of their own ignorance.

That’s a good point and you can see their hate in action at the mai-kadra massacre... their hate is deep.

You should thank Shaebia (EPLF) for keeping and maintaining Ethiopia intact as a country when the EPLF controlled Addis Ababa and covertly controlled other Cities in 1991/92.

There would not be a country called Ethiopia by now if it had not been for the EPLF.
