Abiy Ahmed is a servant of his party, first and formost. He is not a king, you didn't bring him to power, his party did. If his party says, we have to remove you tomorrow, then it can do it also tomorrow, the members of his party voted him in and they are the ones who can vote him out at the time of their wish. And those people you listed are the members and as such the true actors of the party, not those who are barking at them from a distance.

In all of this mumbling it is clear that you are not cognizant of party politics. Those on the scene do know what it is and that is why they are contented with what he is doing (may be not perfect, but still the better option), while those from distance are barking on the empty space.

Though represented by the party as the head of the state he is the servant of the people. Weyanes were “the servant of the so-called party” but we know full well what the word “servants” entails. Had Weyans not faced a certain disaster because of the popular uprising, they would not have left their power from Arat Kilo. Sure, Abiy also is not going to leave his power till he can’t not anymore, that is a given. No leader has had as much a reservoir of goodwill from Ethiopian people as Abiy has, but he has blown it. So We don’t need to make an abstract out of the disaster we have faced as a country for the past two years.
Abiy’s fluffy speeches and his beatification projects are impressive but those are secondary issues. He need to get his hand dirty in Administrating the country. To achieve that he doesn’t need to do anything but use the power given to him as Prime minster of Ethiopian under Weyane’s constitution. He has been incapable of doing that , that is an incompetence of the highest order. In the country where there are thousands upon thousands of militia , police and the defense forces he lets people get killed on daily bases, these are places where a threat of ethnic cleansing known for the government officials or places where ethnic cleansing already had taken place. The only consoling Abiy has been able to do it there were more of us killed than the other, so some how that makes it palatable ; what makes it worst is that the whole world knows he is not telling the truth.
Just to correct your characterization of me I am not right of left I am in the center. I am cognizant of the fact that we live in very diverse society and we need to accommodate each other by relaying on independent democratic institution that are not beholden to this or that particular national group. The hope was that , as he promised publicly , he will get us there. What a promise? His Oromuma armies ranging from Takele Uma to Shimels are working to make that reality . This unelected officals who are given the position they have gotten because of Abiy are passing new laws , give public property to their bodies in the name of dispossessed farmers, they allocate tax revenues as if its their own money . Our new bosses concoct weyane type of kangaroo court in a vary slappy way, and they think that people going to fall for that. Takele Uma is promoted instead of being in prison, while the people who exposed him are in prison in trump up charges.

You have capsulated the current Ethiopian political situation very nicely. However, you are putting the cart before the horse. The way you withstand any external threat national security or otherwise is by keeping and strengthening the unity of Ethiopians. That is how Ethiopians were able to survive during colonization onslaught. This unity can be achieved when the majority stockholder feel that their vital interests are protected and honored. At Abiy’s Ethiopia that is not being the case, remotely. For you to accuse us as a barking dogs or to accuse us of being diversionary is missing the forest for a tree. What we are saying that don’t weaken us by not treating us equally and by not being equally concerned about our safety . But there is one thing that you or any layman shouldn't forget in whole of his/her life: people make decisions based on their own interests, not based on the interest of others.

OPDO or ANDEM has got their own respective interests as political actors to have endorsed the current set up in the country. And those actors are in the likes of the people you listed in your posts here and elsewhere.

In my view they served you in offering you the likes of PM Abiy Ahmed but you reciprocated in saying "you are criminals" as thank you for their offer.

I remember what Chairman Mengistu once said: ደሞ ለዚህ ወርቅ ቢያነጥፉለት ፋንዲያ ነው የምል ህዝብ። which I remembered last time after I heard from some of the day's "analysts" of the ubiquitous tv channels saying "he should tell us where he has got the money to build the Entoto Park" after the PM said, I used the expenditure for the project money donated to me from external sources and the parliament is not entitled to aduit this money because the money is not from government Koffer (you can't audit, what you have not allocated, a simple logic in my view).

Let me tell you one thing, I will not blame the PM if he too may going to say one day: "ደሞ ለዚህ ወርቅ ቢያነጥፉለት ፋንዲያ ነው የምል ህዝብ", I expected respectable citizens should learn about how to say sometimes also "thank you for showing us the way, PM" as simple as such, even when you have to keep tight eye on how he is doing his job for the country.

I think now Chairman Mengist did also have some good vision for his country and its people at one time in his leadership time, when he endorsed the following motivational song during his reign, I assume.

We all know how it ended finally and what befallen us afterwards. Don't tell me it is woyane, no, it was us who supported and clapped our hands left and right (propaganda was our tool those days as it is today) and betrayed Mengistu saying you are a dictator, we prefer the rebels to come in and kick us in the ar$ee like we have seen it well afterwards.

No one can guarantee you the fate of our nation would be any different if the current transition may got aborted one more time, we will be left in a perpetual misery for eternity, I am afraid to say but that is the truth in my view.

Just to correct your characterization of me I am not right of left I am in the center. I am cognizant of the fact that we live in very diverse society and we need to accommodate each other by relaying on independent democratic institution that are not beholden to this or that particular national group. The hope was that , as he promised publicly , he will get us there. What a promise? His Oromuma armies ranging from Takele Uma to Shimels are working to make that reality . This unelected officals who are given the position they have gotten because of Abiy are passing new laws , give public property to their bodies in the name of dispossessed farmers, they allocate tax revenues as if its their own money . Takele Uma is promoted instead of being in prison, while the people who exposed him are in prison in trump up charges.

You have capsulated the current Ethiopian political situation very nicely. However, you are putting the cart before the horse. The way you withstand any external threat national security or otherwise is by keeping and strengthening the unity of Ethiopians. That is how Ethiopians were able to survive during colonization onslaught. This unity can be achieved when the majority stockholder feel that their vital interests are protected and honored. At Abiy’s Ethiopia that is not being the case, remotely. For you to accuse us as a barking dogs or to accuse us of being diversionary is missing the forest for a tree. What we are saying that don’t weaken us by not treating us equally and by not being equally concerned about our safety . What Abiy’s nonchalant attitude makes it clear is that he lost his moral compass , the sooner he find it the better for all of US.

On his watch, first-rate military generals was given a short order by his loyal cadres. So to blame the Ethiopian people for Mengestu's failure is puzzling. Weyanes succeeded because Mengestu failed to lead the Ethiopian people . Weyanes simply could have made Ethiopia another Yougoslavia the day they arrived in Addis, but soon enough weyanes understood that they can disjoin the country and can loot the whole country at their pleasure, mercilessly. That is exactly what they did for 27 years by making enemies out of brothers. Ethiopia has more than 55 billion in debt more than 33 billion of it deposited back in western financial institutions by weyane la bandas. This is a country we inherited from weyane, with a tone of problems. Those who promised to lead us were the same people who were instruments of oppression for weyanes. Granted few of them struggled from within to undo the weyanes system and we believed them and we followed them. I do understand what you are saying about party politics. However, we know that had these so called EPDRF servals remained under firm weyanes tutelage, they would have ended up consumed by the popular uprising. So they promise us to depart from the old why of doing things. They promised to bring the rule of law , democracy , and national honor to all of us. We all supported them . We also knew the road ahead is going to bumpy, so we gave them leeway to introduce reforms. However, they decidedly have gotten busied themselves doing the same practices that we struggled to get rid of. I am not going to enumerate those here, cause I never read a single line critical of Abiy’s administration by you. You always line up justification to any kind of malfunction coming out this administration. , but we all need to note that the ethnic cleansing issue is going to undo this government and the country if it is not curtailed soon .
Your closing phrase ለትንኮሳ በጣም ጎበዞች ነን remind me of Battered wife syndrome . Since they are battered so often they start to believe that it is their fault why their husband is abusing them. They start to reason that “ had I not irritate him he wouldn’t have physically abuse me “ So according to you raising the issue of a legit public concern became “ትንኮሳ”? That kind of thinking is an invitation for dictatorship. while living enjoying the fruits western democracy in the west for you to think of your people aspiration at this low level is not healthy way of thinking. One more thing , I did support Abiy and I recognize what he has been able to accomplish in the past two years, not recognizing that is impossible, however, the pendulum is tilting not even to a dictatorship but towards a civil war. That is the worst thing the leader of a country can bring up on his people. You know dictatorship is a luxury when you have an anarchy . Hope he will muster the wisdom to choose the right path before it is to late.
