Until 1811 AD Tigray controlled two third of Tana Lake, west, north and south of the lake and all the area surrounding the lake including Bahredar city and all the name are pure Tigringna.
Prior 17th century there was no single Amhara in the entire Gonder province, Qimant and Tigray owned it. Tigray is from Metema yohannes border to Beneshangule, Abraha Jira, Tahtay Armachiho Agareb river to Endabat to Duba ERqi to Ras Dejen to Beida. The rest of Gonder province was owned by Qimant.
