Ethiopia is just another poor underdeveloped country. What we need is just to be good neighbors, finish and klaar.
Eritrea is sitting on 150 Billion USD worth of potash. God knows how much more potential is there in gold, silver and other minerals. We hardly need to worry if the ports will be used by other countries than Eritrea itself.

You're both Eritreans with opposing political views. He wants to have Eritrea back with Ethiopia and even mentions his wishes are shared with Issu. You on the other hand would rather die than witness a return to Ethiopia. We are watching the debate between the two sides and wonder why Eritrea would not join Sudan or Dgibouti as a solution to the problem it's facing?
It's an idea you both should consider wholeheartedly. But the following video supports his claim for all the reasons I had addressed in another thread.

Why most of so called historians or analysts are wrong about Eritrea? We heard so many stupid speculations and analysis but always turned out they are wrong.

I personally believe that Eritrea and Ethiopia should unit we live together.
But if they are to be united, all Ethiopians should have a say. Not only Eritreans wish.
I understand the stances of some, Eritrea costs lots of blood. So did Ethiopia.
Ethiopianship is so dear for most people. You can not think of Ethiopian ID as your crappy secondhand Tshirt.
One cannot and should not take Ethiopianship off when warm and you put it on when cold.
If Eritrea is not going to join Ethiopia, Ethiopia should have free access to Asab. I mean Asab need to be under Ethiopia.
Loving Eritrean freedom and valuing your martyrs should never be used to choking another country.
The other thing is Eritreans should never be forced, directly or indirectly, to join the union.
All border crossing, except the one under TPLF, should be open for free movement of people.
The border crossings should be visa/passport free. Anyone with a valid government issued id should be allowed to move freely.
I wish to see prosper Ethiopia/Eritrea where the people love to live. I love to see a reverse migration.
The people are never enemies.

I said "don't involve us" cause the whole thing started when the Eritrean guy went on VOA Amhairc talking about uniting Eritrea with Ethiopia for to benefit of Eritrea. My suggestions which seems to anger you is "if such union is needed, why not unite Eritrea with Sudan or Djibouti?" You can tell us why this idea is bad and what you suggest instead. The other thing is Eritreans should never be forced, directly or indirectly, to join the union.
All border crossing, except the one under TPLF, should be open for free movement of people.
The border crossings should be visa/passport free. Anyone with a valid government issued id should be allowed to move freely.
I wish to see prosper Ethiopia/Eritrea where the people love to live. I love to see a reverse migration.
