I'd say it's a non issue. Eritrea is strong enough to defend itself, and those who want to forcefully take eritrean lands, are a minority among the amhara [the average amhara, i doubt, wants eritrean lands], and perhaps some tegaru but they aren't a threat to eritrea.

You can't dismiss it. Sea access is national security issue. This is also to Eritrea. Eritrea can cut its lifetime defence budget if Ethiopia owns access. This goes beyond empty patriotism

Future is uncertain not only because their henchman is sowing seed of inequity in Oromia but also we need to recollect looted Oromia coffee and alike. Consequently, Assab port might be what they should compensate us.

Of course we want and need sea access as a land locked nation, but Ethiopia has a lot to offer regarding trade and commerce; so we can do it the legitimate way, as opposed to doing what our tyrannical leaders have done [using brute force].
Also, I am sure Eritrea would give us better deals compared to Djibouti, and we can use multiple ports, from Sudan to Eritrea, so there's no need for conflict over it. Eritreans and Ethiopians, more than many, know the harsh consequences of war; so we should do everything to avoid it.
The main focus should be on improving the living conditions of the peoples of both countries and of the region in general.
TPLF, Abiy, Isayas, they will go, as all governments will, but the people and the country remains.

Well, if you had said that the best way that everyone of us would be satisfied is to live up to our agreements and respect them no matter what. You would have made my day since that's what honourable people do. But to claim that Eritrea because of fear for defence budget to allow Ethiopia have access to sea is really mind boggling if you still are claiming to be Eritrean that is.

Eritrea’s problem is internal. We have a lot of Agames and other Ethiopians in our midist who crave the old system. They claim to be from Akele, Seraye and Hamassien. Nowadays, most of them claim to be from Hamassien. They were brought up and nurtured by the Eritrean people. BTW, Tarik aka judgement AkA, ape, are you by any chance reading this Sorry for the distraction. We have the international law on our side. What we need is a democratic government chosen by the people that acts on the very wishes of the people. As much as I feel Ethiopians are far more related to us than other counties, we are still two separate sovereign countries. We have to behave like it. Hopefully, someday we will act to each other like Norway and Denmark do. The darkie man is no contest to the white man. But who knows, future generations may save the day.
