What was the underlying cause of rage of Soldier Yekuno Amlak of Lasta against the Christian Agew monarchy?

Yekuno Amlak is not from Lasta he's from LakoMelza

He demoted the Zagwe to Wagshum rulers and did not overthrow them. The Zagwe dynasty was not interested in controlling Abysinnia like the Axumites were. The Zagwe dynasty claimed orgins from the Israeli tribe "Levi" a tribe of priests. Yekuno Amlak knowing this began to claim to be from the tribe of "Judah" symbolizing Amharas as Judah a royal tribe descendant from king David. By taking this claim the spiritual power of Israel came to both Zagwe and Amhara dynasties. The Falasha claimed lineage from Israelite tribe of Dan.

When you claim an Israelite tribe your tribe is destined to inherit the fate of that tribe! So the Falasha was exterminated from Gondar. Christian Amhara king Fasilades built his palace in the center of Bete Israel. As in the Bible the tribe of Dan gets eliminated first and is conquered easily

Yekuno Amlak was tutored, blessed and supported by Zagwe Priest "Iyasus Moa" who himself was born in Dehana and was Agew. Yekuno Amlak in 1270 became the Emperor of Abysinnia with the support of his Zagwe Priest who served in Hayk Estifanos Monastery in Lakomelza/Ambassel.

He obviously claimed a superior lineage of 'Juda' for a strategic reason of belonging to King Solomon, the King and liberator of all israelites. If the Agew priests who were the depositories of all knowledge and religion at the time supported him, this support only would have a paralysing effect of turning the Agew kings zombies, the walking dead. This must have drastically reduced resistance and bloodshed.
