I see the Ethiopian politics differently I think. Contrary to my friend from the South - where ever he is from — I see ethnic politics is breaking up, not Ethiopia.
Ethiopia is not and will not be defined by Ayatollah, Daud Ibsa, Seyoum Mesfin, Sebhat, and the late Meles. Ethiopia is defined by Ethiopians.
Ethiopians have understood despite his shortcomings Abiy is an ok guy. They might not have the same political tactic as he does, but they never doubt his sincerity to see a different, dynamic Ethiopia.
No, Ethiopia is not breaking up under the leadership of Abiy. It is the ethnic politicians who are breaking up to pieces. Ethnic politicians are losing. Ethiopians are loving it.
Yours truly is among those Ethiopians who enjoy the delusion of the ethnic politicians who are descending to their graves without acknowledging their ignorance. That is a sad goodbye.

I have “mixed” with Ethiopians at large, Yaballoo. I was born and raised in Addis. There is no any place in Ethiopia that people have an opportunity to be “ mixed up” with “others” than Addis.

No, I speak only Amharic. I do ok with it thank you very much. Whether you like it or not , Yabaloo, Amharic is going to be an essential language in Ethiopia. If your argument, which I have sensed, is Amharic should not be the versatile language in Ethiopia, well, you will have a long, desperate life ahead of you. That is because it will be.

Remember that the concept "the Ethiopians" is not restricted to your narrow neftegnya-Ethiopians among whom you move without mixing with the majority of Ethiopians who happen to be your "the ethnics".

Abiy the fuga's ONLY support base is also the town-based & Amharic-speaking neftegnas & the Amharic-speaking weitos. These last ones do it not because they like a galla-gudeela i nstalled at Arat Kilo place but they hope that he might be able to "defeat" their two major enemies: the Tigre & the Galla nationalists & help them get-back land taken from them by Tigres [Wolqait-Tsegede, Rayya, etc].

My brotherly advice to you is: try to mix with the other - and majority - Ethiopians who are in the "Ethnic camp" (not just your neftegna friends & people) to see what the majority of Ethiopians think of the conniving little fuga from Jimma. OK? Bye.
