I have been meaning to ask what happend to the old Deqi-Arawit...sometimes i think someone hijacked your account.

When you left 4years ago (?) in anger & rage against Isayas/shabia/eritrea, it was at time of hardships of eritreans & people falling victims to human traffickers in Sina/Libya/Sudan and i wrote it off as you having had a family member fall victim. I even had family tell me they were victim but unlike others i was ready to fly there & fight for them...yes crazy, i know.

Imagine my surprise when you returned this year, hoping that you were back to your old self...but that quickly dissipated. For some reason you decided to come back at woyane's weakest point & as they were/are being dethroned...and to go further, you started opening/commenting with threads that would chip away at eritrean moral or distract away from woyane...Benn was doing the same too(not sure if he snapped out of it ).

Of all eritreans on this forum and (a non agame ancestry)...i think i am the only one to even admit having 1/2 siblings of agame lineage/parent few years ago...and as the times passed i see that i had pushed that fact & them as extended family instead of 1/2 siblings. Here you are calling them "our cousins" even though as far as i know you have never proclaimed any of your family members to be so...why don't you be more honest & say "my cousins"?...i know, i know, i might not be best one to criticize with regards to use of "our"

Okay, now to the main question(s)...since you say you have never denied your identity...what exactly is your identity?? I know that is not a simple single question:
1.what do you identify yourself as?
2.What identity were you raised with by parents?, was that changed/questioned at some point?
3.What other identities/friends/community were around you that you are not from? Break that down into positive impact & negative impact...maybe they expanded your outlook or was there conflict between your identity & theirs?
Keep in my mind, none of this is to say our value/worth is only/mostly the summation of our ethnic/clan/linguistic/national/racial constructed identities...but also keep in mind there is something to it, since the most developed/progressive countries in the world will sing/propagate harmony/inclusion but underneath they work to promote the success of only their identity or to impose their identity on others. As we bs here, the ones that have the world by the neck are trying to control the narrative/classification/definition of all identities...that's one of the great things about Isayas/shabia, is that they stand tall & have refused to let others control the narrative!...even though its been costly but now, we are on a new brighter horizon thanks to them and ethiopian people/leadership and even now somal people/leadership.

You can dismiss my amateur psychology (if it could even be called that)...but honesty is your best guide and freeing. To share with you...during peace times early 90s most people wouldn't assume i was eritrean let alone east african even though i look like some type of foreigner...and i didn't even really show any flags, tattoos, collectibles...even now nothing to indicate my identity on the surface. To the total opposite, my 1/2 agame siblings fly eritrean flags/tattoos/collectibles from head to toe/go to all the events...since that is community/identity they grew up with...they would always wonder why their one woyane parent had sensitivities (particularly since 98)...haha

Coincidently that is also around the time i started developing sensitivities towards eritrea...not when things were going great (early 90s) but during tough times (2000) up to now, i chose to stick with my people/blood/nation/govt even if i dont agree with everything and as long as the bad they do doesn't outweigh the good they do. In terms of the region, eritrean leadership has done great job. In terms of the nation it has also done & tries to do its best given the predicament it was in. You can dismiss all i said as mumbo jumbo but keep in mind in mid 96-00 i was probably a handful of eritreans that publicly criticized...not that i was an expert then nor now...and i was one of the even fewer telling people to be honest about their identity, including politicians. I was probably among first to say isayas wasn't eritrean followed by T.A. Tadesse and group that tried to track the lineage (which is basically the original draft of the "alleged" family tree that you see on internet now).
