What is wrong with that? Tigray teens compete. This is to encourage them to stay virgin until they get their loved one. They are not for sale. This happens in many countries. We had one such event in Addis Ababa too.
The teen girls, who are virgin, compete. But their virginity is not for sale.
Ashenda is also for virgin girls or teenagers as the original ashenda was meant to celebrate our Virgin Mother St. Mary's day.
Tigray will not allow the sell of virgin girls. It is to encourage girls to stay virgin until they marry to the one they want.

Who verifies their virginity? A committee or an individual like Debretsiyon? And how is it done? In a room or on stage? I don't know why you mentioned the sell of these virgin girls. Hmmm....

The Message of Tigray is clear to Amharu, that is when Amhara female born her puxsy is wide and considered as none virgin naturally regardless of age or had love with a man or artificial gun???
