Schools in Ethiopia, especially in Amhara and Tigray, should teach Geez language from primary through secondary schools. Geez is not only the oldest but also an advanced language. The language, which weakened after first the Gragn Amed and later Galla invasion, kept invaluable historical recordings, philosophical,theological and chronicles of Ethiopian leaders and their socio-economic and political history. Many of the Amharic and Tigrigna words have their roots in this language. It is unwise for this generation to exclude Geez from being a valuable national asset next to Amharic and English.
