Thank you for sharing! I am really amazed how scholarly Aba Bahrey was even by that time. Honestly, he deserves a university named by his name; and an award of posthumous Doctoral degree or Professorship. None is parallel to him from the present day history degree recipients. The Gallas should be grateful to Ab Bahrey- he documented their true history and origin.

በጣም አመሰግናለሁ ፕር አስምሮም ስለ አባ ባህርይ የሰጠው አስተዬየት የሚደነቅ ነው። የነበረን እና የሆነን በእውነት መመስከር ትልቅ ነገር ነው። የነበረውን እውነት ዛሬ ካልመሰከርን የዛሬ ሥራ ሁሉ በቀጣዩ ትውልድ ዐይን ውሸት ይሆናል። ይህን ካልኩ ዘንድ ፕር አስምሮም ጋላ ወራሪ እና ጨፍጫፊ እንዴሆነ የአባ ባህርይን ፅሁፍ አገላለፅ ይጋራል ችግሩ ግን የፕሮፌሰሩ መደምደሚያ የአፍሪካ ድሞክራሲያዊ ሞደል ነው ብሎ መፅሀፍ ጽፏል። ይኸ በዘመኑ ከነበሩት የዕይን እማኝ አባ ባህርይ ጋር ይቃረናል። የጋላ የገዳ ሥርዓት የአፍሪካዊያን የባህል ተፃራሪ ነው። አፍሪካ የሰው ዘር መገኛ ብቻ ሳትሆን የብዙ ልሣነ- ሰብዕ ምንጭ ናት። የጋላ ሥርዓት ግን እነኝህን ባህሎች እና ልሣኖች የሚበላ እና የሚውጥ ሻርክ ዓሣ ነው። ታዲያ ፕሮፌሰሩ ምንም እንኳን የድግሪ ሟሟያ ፅሁፍ አስፈላጊያቸው ቢሆንም በአፍሪካዊያን ላይ የጨቆኝ እና የባህል የዘር አጥፊ ለምን እንዴ መልካም አይተው ይፈርዱበታል። በበኩሌ ፕሮ አስምሮምን ከተስፋዬ ገብረአብ የቡርቃው ዝምታ ለይቸ አላይቸውም።

Thank you for sharing! Prof. Asefa Jaleta is correct with regard to the invasion of Galla and the assimilation of endogenous Ethiopians. However, his assumption or rather that Gallas believe that Souther highland of Ethiopia being their homeland is false. As anyone can understand the testimonial book of Aba Bahrey, who himself was in the native resident of the most South of Ethiopia, that Gallas came from far beyond the territory of Ethiopia.
