300 years of deprivation

Much of the kind of behaviour we are seeing in Tigray is the result of 300 years of deprivation, it is like Gabriel Garcia Marquis's 100 Years Of Solitude multiplied 3 time in length and 10 times in deprivation.
Every singe action, reaction, inaction can be explained in terms of the ይንዕቁና እዮም mentality.
The lily white zuria's, heavy gold chains, elaborate hair dresses seen in the video songs that Aziza regularly invites us to watch are ይንዕቁና እዮም statements.
Every time they insist that I watch these video songs, I feel my power over them.I know they are making them for me, addressing me through them, telling me ክትንዕቀና የብልካን, while in reality I haven't even said anything. Even the election is addressed to me telling me ክትንዕቀና የብልካን. It feels great, and I don't want to lose these power over them.
