I estiminate 300,000 Indigenous Amharas. If your amhara you have to speak tigrinya in humera my friend is native welkaitey they treats native amharas like terrorists over there in order to steal amharas border with eritrea and to create abay tigray republic They evicted raped killed and slaughtered as many amharas in order to rename the land as “Western Tigray” which never bordered sudan Amharic is banned in welkait children are forced to speak tigrinya only This is how welkait amharas who are born after 1980 can speak tigrinya
The first tigrays to enter welkait were beggars who were unemployed and begged amharas to work on the farms. Also welkait amharas can speak arabic and tigrinya for trading purposes (Asmara-Sudan) but it doesnt mean they r Arab or tigre. Most Welkait amharas migrated to New Zealand & Australia as there farm and homelands are given to adwa settlerss!
