I think the recent Wolayta events tell a story. The leaders were arrested but the youth came out in droves to protest. PM Abay initially tried to kill his way out but his image was being tarnished internationally. He reversed course immediately and released the leaders because he saw the writing on the wall.

I expect this story to repeat in case of Oromo youth as well. Let's pray the loss of lives is minimal.

it is amazing how the two big mouthed politicians jawar and lidetu both were roaring like lions and threatening abiy about meskerem 30 but now when sh-t hits fan, all of a sudden they both became weak, ill and fragile to the extent they could not even stand a courtroom session. pathetic!

The Wolayta kids didn't behead pregnant woman. The Wolayta youth never did burn billions of dollars worth properties. The Wolayta people never once agitated for the dismemberment of the country. The Wolaytas peacefully demanded that their "constitutional" rights be respected. The irony of the whole saga is, the security establishment which was complicit in the act of genocide in the Region Jawar is a supposed king, is the same establishment that murdered mercilessly more than three dozen Wolayta kids.

Jawar's militia is a thereat not only to the administration itself but also to the general civilian population in the country. As such, if the wobbly security establishment once again stands with the mass killing bands, there will be mass savagery all over... the result of which again is further eating itself up and dashing the ever dying dreams of Oromumma, by extension the Nega family's aka TPLF... I heard from one of their own, the story about that same family has built a modern palace in Adowa... It could be a modern multi billion mortuary...who knows?

Ayatollah did never think that he was going to be arrested and, as such he never did get a chance to hide so much of the evidences that could directly incriminate him and implicate high ranking government officials. He probably could also have some recordings of secret ill conceived plans or already executed crimes that potentially could bring down so many in the government.

He needs a conduit to leak those docs and info which could guarantee his release or give him potential advantage over his "rivals" and force them to come to the table. The so called bands of defense attorneys are already in it and, they will never hesitate to go all the way to do more harm on to the country. If the alleged contact between Lemma and TPLF is a reality, there is no norm that these folks are respecting. They will play all dirty...we should be ready for the unexpected expected!
