The only two people that are looking for war between Amhara and Tigray are Abiy and Isaias Afeworki. Both want to weaken or bury TPLF for their own different reasons. For Isaias it is a revenge and to prevent any Eritrean opposition from allying with TPLF. For Abiy he wants TPLF to be weak or buried so that his PP Oromia dominated party will be the dominant party in Ethiopia under his dictatorial leadership. Since Isaias's army is depleted he knows he has no enough manpower to face TPLF, which has effectively mobilized most of the Tigray people. For Abiy he can't use the Ethiopian army against Tigray because of risks related to disintegration of the army along ethnic lines and he will be dragged into endless war that no body knows the outcome while already the army is overstretched in peace keeping/stabilizing activities in different regions of Ethiopia.

However, there is no genuine reason for Tigray and Amhara to go to war for the following reasons:

The present territory of Amhara including its name was created during TPLF/EPRDF time by integrating Gondar, Gojam , Showa and Wello provinces. At that time, Part of Gondar( Humera, Welkait and Tsegede) was included to be part of Tigray, part of Gojam( Metekel) was included to be part of Benshangul and huge part of Showa was included with Oromia and part of Wello was included to be part of Tigray( Raya) and Afar. If Amhara has a claim on lost territories that should apply not only with Tigray but with other regional governments including Afar, Benshangul and Oromia. As part of the restructuring, Tigray also lost huge part of its historical territory to Afar.Therefore, unless there is a hidden agenda ,there is no need for Amhara and Tigray to go to war because of border issue. The hidden agenda is none other than the conspiracy of Abiy and Isaias Afworki to use the human resources of Amhara to do their dirty work as explained above. The people of Tigray and Amhara lived together for generations and they have a stronger bond than any ethnic groups in Ethiopia. The people of Amhara has to say no to this conspiracy.

The people of Tigray (TPLF which you directly said is Tigray people) declared war on Amhara in 1991 when they annexed Amhara districts towns and historical lands and annexed it into Benishangul (Metekel) Oromia (North Shewa/Debre-Libanos&Dera&Mindida) and many other Majority Shewan Amhara towns To Oromo Fascists. Then TPLF colonized and annexed Welkait Tegede into Adwa region and forced the amharas to leave displaced thousands of Welkait Amharas and replaced them with Tigray settlers from Adwa and Tembien.. Amharic is banned in Welkait for what reason TIGRAY is WAR you will not hide your fascist crimes and call it a day

You are not amhara, you are Hamachenawi Aram because you provoke war and bring points which are Anti-Tigray. Yes, TPLF is the leader of Tigray people It is Tigray people when Tigray people are threatened. TPLF could be despotic or corrupt but this is for Tigray people to bring to justice those leaders in TPLF who were corrupt or were criminal (killed Tigrayans).
