You are right. The name Oromo is given to the Galla tribe by German protestant preachers. They wanted to use Galla against Abysinnia or Ethiopia. I remember reading a book in German about it. The name of the leading missionary is "'Hasselblat". There should be a book in English too. The Oromo or Galla are cattle breeding nomads with some warrior custom. They came from Rwanda and Congo basin looking for a better pasture. Orma is also a name of a Galla tribe based in Kenya.

Some of the Galla feel like Kenyans. The Ethiopian left did not take note of the historical origin of Galla people and it's effect on Habeshas or Ethiopians. The German protestants have been destabilizing South Ethiopia with their lies about Galla people, whom they called "Oromo"'. Gunnar Hasselblatt, was one of the devils, who was sowing seeds of civil war between Oromo and Ethiopians.
