What is the agricultural productivity in Ethiopia now? Is Ethiopia still importing wheat?

Those concerned should work on making Ethiopia food sufficient. The people should not starve. Ethiopia has good fertile lands. Could some body inform us how the government plans to make Ethiopia food sufficient??
Some regions have been diversifying their economy. Some localities have been exporting vegetables to Europe and Middle East. Dairy and dairy products are also being exported. Ethiopia could provide Europe with cheap cheese.
We are seeing some oranges and apples from Ethiopia in European super market shelves. This is encouraging and Ethiopia should work more on this and other agricultural products. Teff and other grains could soon bring billions of dollars to Ethiopia. The market with Teff could reach US$10 billion in short term. In long term, teff is worth trillions of dollars as every one in the world will eat injera from Teff or Taff.
The politicking is OK but we need food on the table and homes for our people. The economic developments should be carried out independent of who is gone to be the bose at Arat Kilo. In general Ethiopia as a country has more money. It's national budget could reach 1 trillion dollar in 20 years.
