According to some sources, Mussie, the Tigrayan-Ethiopian revolutionary, was assassinated by General Samora Yunis, the former Chief of Staff of Ethiopia's Defence Forces. Sebhat Nega and Meles Zenawi were also involved.
Sebhat Nega and Meles Zenawi as well as Aregawi Berhe and Abay Tsehaye were involved in the massacre of Tigrayan ethiopian elites who joined the armed struggle in rural Tigray to overthrow the military Rule in Ethiopia.
Gidey ZeTsion, an Eritrean who is a member of Argawi Berhe's "Tigray Democratic Party" was also involved in the assassination of Dr. Atakilit and other pro-Ethiopia and anti-Eritrea elites.
