Desu did a good analysis on Shimelis's blubber of an internal party meeting in the following.

የኦሮሞ ጽንፈኞችን ለማዳከም ሽመልስ ብዙ ይለፈልፋል፣ ይናገራል፣ ምንም አያመጣም፣ ፕሮፓጋንዳ ነው፤

አማርኛ በብቃቱ ይቀጥላል፣ በተግባር የዐፄ ሚንልክ ቤተ መንግሥት ታድሷል፣ አንድነት ፓርክ የኦዲፒ ሥራ ነው፣ ፅንፈኞቹ እነጃዋር አልወደዱትም፣ እሱ ሐቅ ነው፤

አማራም ሌላውም ብቃት ያለው ሕዝብ ነው፣ የሽመልስን ፕሮፖጋንዳ ማስተካከል በብቃት ይችላል፤
ይሄንን ኢዘማም ሌሎች "ሴንስ" ያላቸው ሰዎች ሁሉ ያውቃሉ፤ ዕውነት ለመናገር አላስፈራኝም፣ እንደውም ፅንፈኞቹ በዚህ በማይረባ የሽመልስ ቱሪናፋ እኛ ስንዘናጋ እንደገና እንዳይጠነክሩና ዳግም እንዳያርዱን እፈራለሁ፣ ፅንፈኞች የዘር ማጥፋት ማድረጋቸው ላይ ዐይንን አለማንሳት ያስፈልጋል፤

አማራ ቁልቁል ነው ሲል፣ የመሰለውን ነው፣ አማራው በሶ ጨብጧል ማለት ነው፣ ያን የሚወስነው አማርኛ ተናጋሪው ነው፣ ብቃት ካጣ ኦሮምኛ ከአማርኛ በልጦ ይዳብራል፣ ወደላይ ለመነሳት የአማርኛ ተናጋሪው ፍላጎትን ይጠይቃል፣ ኦሮምኛ እንዲዳብር ሽመልስ መጣሩ አያስደንቅም፣ በ"ኮንቪዩዥን" ወይም "ኮንቪንሲንግ" አማራ መብቱን በሽመልስ ጀዝባው ተሸወዶ ካጣ፣ የራሱ ጉዳይ ነው፣ ቢሞት ይሻለኛልን መርጧል ማለት ነው ፣ በቃ!

i didn't dare to open your post considering that you might have also just relayed what the guys of Ethio 360 "revealed" as the most ground breaking conspiracy of a political party.

Now I opened and saw that you made a good reference to Desu, a guy I became to consider a very sensible and patriotic, guided with only an Ethiopian aganda, irrespective of partisan politics he may belong to.

I wanted to listen to the said message in its original version of Afan Oromo, here in the translated version I found nothing that is so sensational.

I already said somewhere on this forum about the trajectory OPDO/ODP/PP took so far from a party that was created by TPLF to realise the "aspiration of the Oromo people", which is by the parlance of those days creating an independent Oromia. The road was already paved and made very smooth, it is a constitutionally mandated privilege (case in point Article 39).

Down the road of the same trajectory OPDO transformed itself to an organisation that came to realise that that road is not viable (according to the words of those who authored the thesis in the first place) which means the political ajenda of OPDO shifted but not all the minds of its members, to say the least.

At the same time there were still some political actors in the Oromo camp which for some reason considered that Oromo is the largest section of the ethnically constituted federal state of Ethiopia and as such deserved to rule over the others. This too was also marred with, if not anything else, the impracticability of its thesis.

The mindset of its members persisted through out this trajectory and the leaders of the party need to try to tend to all of the spectrum of the party's gradient of political views and if Obbo Shimales Abdisa is trying to rally all of the members of his party behind his political ajenda and try to realise the wish of the people that the party is governing over, then I see no sin that is being committed against the Interest of the Ethiopian people, this should be an issue for the Oromo people if at all.

He didn't imply any attempt to interfere in the affairs of others in the country and didn't imply a plan to do so in the future.

Ethio 360 decided to take the downward spiral and remained faithful to that course.

Even Mereja forum didn't want to relay this one of the 360 guys. Simply cheap!

one more thing came to my mind after i posted the above reply.

How did the 360 guys (Egypt 360) comment about Obbo Shimales Abdissa with regard to his other achievements so far in the political development in the country?

Just before a year or so Ethiopia was repeatedily quoted in the international media around the world as a country with the highest level of IDPs in the world, I think it was more than 2 or 3 Millions in actual figures. Now that name is no more raised and one of the key figures who curbed the problem is acknowledged to be President Shimales Abdissa of Oromia region.

I remembered this and wanted to know if the guys of Ethio, no Egypt 360 guys ever raised this aspect of him?

The IDP issue is something no one talks about lately; so, you're saying Shimeles has something to do with it. Well, that is a positive for country. I can't help but, acknowledge that he had to politically contend Jawar & followers extreme views but the "speech" may have overstepped the line and may cost his position.

In the following Seyoum also justifies Shimeles's extreme speech. He compares the "speech" with the Amhara leadership extremists shoot out incident. Shemelis may have saved the day after-all! Interesting observation!

All seyum did in trying to defend the battered Shimelis is further alinating him from the base that he desperately has been trying to woo. This kind of reasoning is full of mystical assumptions the benefits of which are doubly negative. Which one is the real Shimelis? The one who is confusing Qerro or the one who is openly negating and denegrating other Ethiopians? I think Seyum has made the cases effectively for both......So much for the calibrated analysis...lool

Za - You're right there is no excuse for such kind of mentality.

Shimelis may have been lucky that his "hate speech" is exposed in the aftermath of the extremists in the slammer. That legal case of the extremists in court has softened the hearts of Ethiopians in general including Amharic speakers towards p2. If it was any other time, things would have gone bad.

So, if Shimelis asks for some kind of forgiveness, this is the right time to do it. If he doesn't do that, he shall end up becoming a liability for Dr. Abiy/p2; consequently, forcing Amhara p2/ ABN & others to take a severe political stand against him.
