Ethiopians are yearning to see a unifying party that stands for the interests of all its citizens equally. The past three decades have purely proved beyond any doubt that politicizing identity only brings inequality, injustice and the destruction of ones own country. The TPLF political agenda of demonizing amharas and executing policies that deprive the amharas to have a say in the country's politics finally backfired and chased the barons out to their enclave. The vacuum left by TPLF was quickly filled by ODP with a zeal to change everything in its own image while hypothesizing the country with the Ethiopia vernacular. ADP, which was expected to play a role in at least checking the descending of the country yet again to another extreme, failed to measure up to the task. This created a field day for OLF/ODP extremists to dictate terms to the country to the extent that they openly declared they are parallel government. They trained 32 rounds of paramilitary forces numbering in hundreds of thousands. Amharas have been persecuted all over the country relentlessly for who they are. In all of these ADP was never seen to stand up to anything to protect the interests of the constituency it was said to have been representing.

Why now the saber-rattling? Is the party again proving its loyalty to those who are using it as a tool to even massacre its own ? Or is it a true reflection of the legit grievances of the Amhara people against the system of government that is by design made to make Ethiopians second citizens in their own country?

"የአማራን ህዝብ ጨምሮ የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ በህወሓት የተሳሳተ አመራርና የትግል ስልት ተጎድቷል፡፡ዛሬም ድረስ በቀቢጸ ተስፋ የትግል ስልት የሚሰቃይ ህዝብ ነው፡፡ በተለይም የአማራ ክልል ህዝብ የግፉ ሁሉ ገፈት ቀማሽ ነው፡፡ መሬቱንና ህዝቡን በግፍ ተነጥቋል፡፡ ቅርሱን፣ ታሪኩን፣ ባህላዊና ሃይማኖታዊ እሴቱን በሚያሳቅቅ ሁኔታ ተዘርፏል፡፡ክብሩና ማንነቱ በጠራራ ጸሀይ ተደፍሯል፡፡ ከወንድሞቹና ከወገኖቹ ጋር ተከባብሮና ተፋቅሮ እንዳይኖር የቂምና የጥላቻ ቀለም ተበጥብጦ በሀሰት ብራና ላይ የቁርሾና የበቀል ስንኝ ተቋጥሮበታል፡፡ይህ ሁሉ ሲሆን ”ለምጣዱ ሲባል አይጧ ትለፍ” በሚል ብልሀት ሁሉንም ታግሶ ለማለፍ ተሞክሯል፡፡

"ለትግራይ ህዝብ ሲባል ህወሓትን ያቀፈ የትግል ስልት መከተል ሆደ-ሰፊነት እንጂ ድንቁርና አይደለም፡፡ እስከአሁን በነበረው የትግል ጉዞ ህወሓትን ከልክ በላይ መታገስ መስተዋሉ ተገቢና ትክክለኛ አቅጣጫ ነው፡፡ አሁንም ቢሆን ለትግራይ ህዝብ ያልተመቸ ምንም አይነት ሁኔታ መከተል አያስፈልግም፡፡ የትግራይ ህዝብና ህወሓት በፍጹም አንድ አይደሉም፤ አንድ ሆነውም አያውቁም፡፡

የትግራይ ህዝብ ከህወሓት ተጽዕኖ ሊላቀቅ የሚችለው በራሱና በራሱ ትግል ብቻ ነው፡፡ በእርግጥ በአለም ታሪክ የትግራይ ህዝብ ለህወሓት የሰጠውን ተደጋጋሚ እድል የትኛውም አገርና ህዝብ አላደረገውም፡፡እንደአለመታደል ሆኖ ህወሓት ከፕሮፓጋንዳ ባለፈ ራሱን በራሱ የሚያርምበት አንዳችም የልቡና ውቅር (psychological set up) የለውም፡፡ ለዚህም ነው ደጋግሞ መሳሳትን እንደአንድ የትግል ስልት የሚጠቀምበት፡፡"
