I am not a politician but yet I think that some of these talking may amount to much ado for nothing.

1. Okay, now we have heard that Obbo Daud Ibsa have long been requesting to be formally replaced due to his age and other factors. But then members were said to have refused to relieve him form his leadership role so that doors may not come to be open for further divisions and weaken the movement. If true, then he is there purely for the benefits of others with out having interest of his own. BINGO!

2. The movement came home agreeing to pursue peaceful struggle but yet even traditionally the movements political wing and the military wing like to be at each others throats occasionally when ever new changes and pressures are applied from the inside or the out side. In this sense the relationships roles and boundaries between the political wing and the military wing may be very ambiguous and fluid at times and confusing even to themselves let alone to the outsiders. The political wing may wish to negotiate and settle issues politically as much as possible but the military wing may often wishes to settle issues by sheer military means. Hence the pendulum keeps swinging back and forth between the political wing and the military wing, giving the impression that the movement operates in connection and cooperation with all of its parts or separately from each other on given occasions like now. BINGO!

And then the external factor comes in whereby those who wish to see and believe that the movement (political & military wings) as a monolithic unitary organization being authoritatively led from the top to the bottom can do so because the movement seems to function so in general, while others who think that the political wing and the military wing act and behave as separate organizations loosely and remotely connected if any.

3. Currently after the jailing of opposition leaders it seems that some people including the too noisy tplf cadres got frustrated because they expected that Obbo Daud Ibsa and Dr. Merera put on their final battle dresses and gone out to the streets and demonstrate as well as call nation wide demonstrations in order to get jailed opposition leaders out of the prison while getting some others tplf may not like put in to the prisons. In this sense there might be some hypothetical possibilities that the tplf and its affiliates m,ay try to kill Obbo Daud and or Dr. Merera just like hachalu Hundessa so as to create major shocks followed by major demonstrations, major demolitions, followed by mountains of rubles which may shame and remove mamma Ethiopia from its rising fame.

Means that we have to sleep with one eye open, otherwise the cvnning tplf oligarchs may cook some new hot cakes and then let us go on the rampage, accusing and killing each other as if there is no tomorrow while the tplf oligarchs are sitting up there drinking Champaign and laughing loud at our foolish behaviors and sufferance.
