- He vowed by oath to respect the constitution but he is dismantling it slowly but surely
- He promised to unify Ethiopia but in practice he has been involved on divisive rhetoric( eg dividing Amhara and Tigray) and by allowing foreign powers like Egypt and its agent Isaias Afeworki to interfere into the internal affairs of Ethiopia
- He promised not to arrest with out evidence but is arresting thousands with out any evidence
- He preached peace, forgiveness and reconciliation but in practice he has been persecuting Tigray and Oromia politicians
- He said "killing defeat" but he is now a full fledged killer and dictator
- He promised to transit Ethiopia to democracy but he is preparing the ground to rule Ethiopia with out election for the next 10 years. He is silencing the opposition and he is working for "Zero- dissent" and zero tolerance for the opposition.
Abiy has to come to his senses and work with the internal key stakeholders and create consensuses for the way forward before it is too late. Ethiopia could be engulfed by civil war and could be disintegrated into two. A divided Ethiopia will be an easy prey of Egypt, Arabs and a play ground for jihadists.
