How Long should Abiy's Government Have to Wait Before Calling a Spade a Spade?

Abiy Government is responsible for calling back the terrorist organisation from abroad and give it a free ride in the country and the same organisation is now terrorizing our people with impunity and many innocent lives have been cut short and many more have been subjected to life under the rule of terror.

Extortion and coercion are the norm for many citizens of the country and the out reach of terror is expanding on every day basis, people are denied peaceful and safe life while the government is simply sitting around and counting the number of deaths in the hands of this terrorist organization. The terrorist organisation is quitely extending its out reach and propgating its terror materials freely on the internet using different platforms and technologies, while the government side is doing very little or nothing to encounter it with own version of what it is doing to curb the terror and terrorits material contents.

The terrorist organisation has deliberately targetted the youth which it can easily manipulate and use for its end-goal, which is receiving the material without any questioning and asking what is in the propaganda it is provided with.

We are not sure if many of those in the government are with the terrorists or with those in charge of ruling the country. Lemma Megersa of former OPDO openly showed his disagreement with his own party and showed a clear sympathy for the adherents of the terror organisation and worse yet he is still top level official of the government.

If they made mistake in inviting back the terror organisation without understanding the true nature of it and history of its over 50 years of existence, then they should have known what its true nature looks like after inviting it back home and watching it from a close distance. They don't dare to tell us that they didn't see about the true character of this organisation over the last 2 years of time period.

The silent majority is now left in a state of confusion and doesn't know whom to support and in the resulting doubt they opt to support the terror organisation itself, because the government is not providing the necessary guarantee for their safety.

This government is letting the country slip into a scene of chaos and our country needs to be defended before it gets too late.

We are confused and don't feel any more safe and think that we are getting the protection a citizen deserves and we are not allowed to take the responsibility into our hands for out safty and arm ourselves on private bases and try to protect ourselves before we are taken out one by one by a terroritst organisation which operates with methods of the medieval era.

Abiy Government must act now if it is not already too late and liberate our people from life under terror!

Abiy Government should designate OLF-Shane as a terrorist organisation, which is targetting civilian lives and properties and prosecute its actors and enablers alike. Parents should be responsible for the acts of their children, like terrorist children of families in UK and other countries of the world were good enough to prosecute the parents themselves.

Is the government lacking sufficient evidence yet to do so?

"you fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me" goes the saying.

The terrorits organization is doing more damages to the country than it was able to do in over 50 years of its existence as such. But why??

DTT , I agree with you. There was one suggestion I read last week which makes sense : Abiy might have become hostage to the noble peace prize that he won. In order not to agonize the West said the thread I read , he let Ethiopians to die. That theory should not be discounted. Abiy should not be hostage to the prize. Last week, a clear line was drawn. Ethiopians need a leader, and he should lead. We cannot let every other week hundreds Ethiopians die, and we could keep going as if nothing happened. It is insane.

Not really that much long; just until he comes on you
