i think u misunderstood Gigi Keya what she is saying is if u live in America for 150 years it is in u to learn English.. for example Gigi Keya learn Germy language where she live ...
the reason she doesnt speak Afan oromo is because she was the victim of Amhara system.. they try to make u Amhanized and they force u to forget your language by insulting u for speaking it.. so if u go to Addis Ababa 90% ethnic born in Addis Ababa forget their own language to assimilate with Amhara and they dont want to have accent because they dont want no body to know their ethnic back ground .. even so THE TPLF GOLDEN RULE try the best it is long long journey..

There is no "Amhara" system as such; Amharic was perfected by the amalgamation of the rest of Ethiopian languages. It's simply the best outcome of Africans living together for centuries. We can add other languages but, not destroying what we've achieved over time is important.
You complain about Oromos burning factories? It can be rebuilt in a short time yet, you advocate "burning" a language that took centuries to develop, that glued 80 plus gosas/ethnic groups, enabled them to defeat colonialism. It doesn't make sense.
Do you realize there're about 13% English among American population?
Are Americans victims? Not necessarily!
If one is a victim of circumstances, chances are the language is the least problem one should waste time on for improvement.
Gigi needs to just do it! Learn Afan Oromo for one and work with positive forces. Not forces of destruction as we see it.

ur thinking say it since Amharic is superior, just look your reasoning one by one.. i did not suggested Amharic should be burned down.. in fact your method lead to Amharic language to be burned down .. because u refused improvement on Amharic language ... if Amharic want to survived it should accept change ..
looook TPLF give oromo Afano oromia , but to Southern region they choice to speak Amharic , Meles did not say no .. this is how u progress the language not enforcing the language on those who doesnt want .... million time said this even in Oromia children learn Amharic what the problem is the Amhara region refusing to learn a second language.... if the Amhara did that they would keep Amharic otherwise they lose it...
Gigi speaking Afan oromo is not the answer .. she might not even need the language.... what she point out is those buda Amhara who live in oromia should learn the language so that the oromia language will grow the same as Amharic .... but the Amhara are the one who refused to learn afan oromia ..
now tell me for the last 30 years had Great Haile learn Afan oromia would have they burn his industry.. even so i dont support to burn industry for any reason .. Haile would have saved his billion dollar investment with one hour language class every day...
about factory burn factory built in few month theory, i consider it as terrorist act and thought .. when the hooligan burn your factory they burn 30 years of work..you lose your confidence you lose everything beside the money .. how in hell u going to build the same place who doesnt like u..

about Amharic choosing English as their national language... number one America doesnt have a national language .... second when the founding father choose English .. English language already was strong because the British colonization make the language very strong so it is ideal to take English over other language ... today the American try to correct their mistake by trying rehabilitation of historical language like french and German..
