Since the amhara took power under Menelik, there has always been ethnic based armed conflicts directed against the ruling elites in Ethiopia, who are in the majority Amhara.
Menelik subjugated Galla/Oromo and other tribes in South and Western Ethiopia. These tribes had to speak Amharic and act as Amhara to survive as citizens.

Haile Selassie came to power by false claims. He killed the son of Menelik, Eyasu to claim the throne. Haile Selassie fled Ethiopia to UK when Italy attacked Ethiopia. Haile Selassie followed the same policy of subjugating non-amharas.

What the Amhara call Ethiopia is those who speak Amharic. Thus Ethiopia for Amhara is Amhar culture and Amhara language.that is why we say Ethiopia should ban amharic as it degrades Ethiopia's ancient culture and multiethnic society to a single tribe.

We should stop amharas from destroying Ethiopia. The Amharas have never been Ethiopians. They act as invaders of Ethiopia, as colonizers.

The amhara are more interested in their own bread. they do not care when non-amhara Ethiopians die. This is well recorded. The Oromos are fighting because they do not have rights in a country called ethiopia. The somalis are seen as backward and savage by amhara.

The Amhara call themselves Orthodox Christians. But they are not. They just abuse the Church to control non-amhara Ethiopians.
