The Oromo elites in QEERROO/OLF and OPDO/EPRDF leadership do not lack ideological coherence, political maturity, and skills for consensus building. They focus on their narrow perceptions and agendas. This is what Amharas told us!
Hence they jump to form organisations that promote such perceptions and agendas at the cost of the national interest. In the 1970s, some Oromo elites joined Ethiopian and Somali organisations while a few created the OLF. In the 1990s they repeated the same when they joined Tigray and Amhara and repeating the same with their loved leader Colonel Abiye.
In less than 5 minutes, their spiritual leader Haji Jawar surrendered to the Colonel Abiye government. Based on this and what happened this week, what is next for the Oromo people and what do they want from Colonel Abiye? What is next for the Oromo people? Is there an Oromo agenda? If so, what is main agenda that Oromo wants to hear from Colonel Abiye? What will be the most main agenda and demand of the time for Oromo people?
