Their inclination to understand world politics only from religious angle is not productive in the 22st cento, and they know it. I am not naive; I know they overwhelmingly wish Egypt to prevail in the negotiation. But they could not openly undermine the interest of Ethiopia. If that happens the African Union, Europe and even North America will be compelled to defend the underdog , which might be Ethiopia.
