In this turbulent times, Ethiopia finds itself at the crossroads. The increasing number of political assassinations will push the government to limit freedom. There is a big political divide in Ethiopia along the two major ethnic groups. The amharas, the sworn enemy of TPLF, favor more centralized government. The Oromo, who have had bad political experience from the past favor decentralized power. What is the Dr. to do. He is moving to the center since the country is beginning to come ungovernable. In doing so, he threatens his main political base, meaning the Oromo populace.
Big dilemma. But, he has no choice. He has to keep order in place. In my opinion, Ethiopia needs to find that happy medium where all ethnic groups live as family members until the time Economic interest start to override ethnic affiliations.
