The job of a media outlet is to report; not to incite riots, coups or tribal conflagrations.

Media outlets have rules they've to live by, to exist. When they break those rules, they get shut down. Even, in "democratic" countries.

Dear Axumezana: If what Restye Tesfay's claims are true, TMH might have broke rules

I want you to check if you do know or are ignorant of laws that apply under "a democracy".If what Restye claims are correct, Tigray Media House (TMH) could have transgressed the following laws:

[1] 8 U.S. Code § 373. Solicitation to commit a crime of violence

(a) Whoever, with intent that another person engage in conduct constituting a felony that has as an element the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against property or against the person of another in violation of the laws of the United States, and under circumstances strongly corroborative of that intent, solicits, commands, induces, or otherwise endeavors to persuade such other person to engage in such conduct, shall be imprisoned not more than one-half the maximum term of imprisonment or (notwithstanding section 3571) fined not more than one-half of the maximum fine prescribed for the punishment of the crime solicited, or both; or if the crime solicited is punishable by life imprisonment or death, shall be imprisoned for not more than twenty years.

[2] International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights
Article 20
1. Any propaganda for war shall be prohibited by law.
2. Any advocacy of national, racial or religious hatred that constitutes incitement to discrimination, hostility or violence shall be prohibited by law.

Etyopiya/Ethiopia is a signatory to this particular international law.

Does the rules apply to ESAT?

Dear Axumezana: Every one is treated equally under the law

Every body is either protected or punished equally under the law. Any one---regardless of nationality, ethnicity, faith, wealth, status at birth, whether the name is TMH, ESAT, or otherwise, etc.--- who transgresses the law and is found guilty under the law would be penalized or any one who is found innocent under the law would be set free. For further details on particular legal advice contact your lawyer. Why are you asking such a petty question?

If that is so let us deal 1st with ESAT that declared genocide on the people of Tigray a long time ago. We can only have a united Ethiopia if every body is treated equal!

Dear Axumezana: Who is "us"? You find your right partner
You asked what rule TMH might have broken, and I gave you a response. Deal with ESAT if you believe you have a case; and others might deal with TMH if they believe they have a case. There is no first-come first-serve here, and there is no "so let us deal 1st with ESAT" and do TMH next. The "injured" takes the suspected violator of law to court of law. That is how things generally work, I believe.
