If the federal government is not treating ethnic groups equally, then they should form their own country just like Eritrea did.

Ethiopia's capital takes 80% of the national coffer, whereas 95% of the population lives outside Addis Ababa and have no support financially or politically from the federal government. For example, there is only one international air port. There is one in Meqelle. But the government does not allow the international airport to function. The federal government has no political will because the government is colonial in nature. The Federal Government acts as a colonial power since the time of Menelik - they take the resources from regions but they do not develop the regions.

If ethnic groups are not treated with equality - equal economic opportunities and political rights, then Ethiopia should break up to smaller countries. WE can not continue fighting each other to get equality. Breaking up from Ethiopia is better just as Eritrea.

Are you talking counties ( I mean አውራጃ) or countries. I don't see any of these counties to qualify for being worth of country. First, you have to put basic parameters that make them pass the bar. Most of them are not only hypothetical not geographically realistic and more than that they literally have no viability, resource etc. wise. Think about something feasible and worthwhile.

Menelik policy is still ongoing. Non-Amhara Ethiopians are suffering.
Gambella can be a good country of nilothic or pure black people.
So could also be Sidamo, a country of "fandya"' as Amhara call them. They are pure black.
Sidamo was a kingdom and so they can have their own country as they have history.
