Following up on our last news about the crises within Ezema, we highlighted the issues namely the plot by Dr. Birhanu Nega to merge Ezema with Bilsegina. We underlined the sole aim and goal of Dr. Birhanu is to gain power by any means necessary. His inventions , mergers and coalition for the past 15 years by changing names and his leadership of 9 or more organizations from EPRP to today's Ezema shows he will not do anything to gain power.
The latest being the recent resolution by the house of federation to extend the government , parliament and local parliaments hold on to power to 9-12 months and hence holding elections within those 9-12 months. Most if not all opposition have denounced this decision. TPLF, OLF, OFC, ABIN, the three coalition members EDP, ENM and Hibir and others have all condemned it. Most of them are not really mad at the decision, it is how about Abiye and his government went about getting it done.
Ezema now having issue with the leadership style of Birhanu Nega who is plotting to , if he can merge Ezema with Bilsegina or he himself jump ship and outright join Bilsigina. To facilitate his goal, Birhanu Nega has directed ESAT to to fully protect and be mouth piece of Abiye with no serious criticism allowed and for his gesture to Abiye, ESAT is allowed to expand by Abiye's financial backing to produce ESAT-TV by producing films , documentaries and news. A big pro-government media in the making while the likes of EBS JTV and others are closing, some with deliberate pro government pressures.
Ezema so far have been quiet about the house of federation resolution because Dr. Birhanu Nega wants to support it fully while most of his colleagues are against it. Ezema is in a huge crises and some wonder how long this bandaging all their problems will last. From history of Dr. Birhanu Nega, it is very likely they will self-destruct soon. People are noticing how they become part and parcel of the government of Dr. Abiye and some are asking why if you are agreeing 100% with the government on 99% of issues, join them anyway?
