But since most of the Arab countries have no aridable lands, they pursue in going for it as their resources.
And finally politics gets in to the mix. Since the likes of Saudi Arabia already accumulated lots of money they use their influence through OPEC & lots of other international organization to be hindrance to others in digging for it.

I didn't know that there are camels in the USA, Canada, Russia, Venezuela, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and lots of countries which do not have camels (at least not like in the middle east or North & East Africa).
Every thing has to do with politics and world dominance.
USA & Saudi Arabia own all the international organizations including the inept UN and IMF and they always make sure they do control on who should explore oil in their domains. It is all about control and greed.

Canada have dirty oil called Oil sands, tar sands, to clean the oil or to separate it from sand the Canadian use a lot of water the problem is what r u going to do with waste water once u got the oil.. Canadian oil is the most costly and the most dirty oil...
