The true Amhara that were part of ancient Ethiopia/Aksum are maybe about 2 million. The Amhara themselves say they are in ten thousands, the rest being slaves and immigrants from West and Southern Africa.

This makes Amhara very vulnerable because they are practically in the minority and their core values are not reflected. In the true Amhara name, many crimes have been committed. For example, Mengistu Haile Mariam and his henchmen, who were not from Amhara, but killed thousands of young students in the name of The Amhara people.

Haile Selassie also starved millions of Amhara from Wollo and he was not Amhara. They say he was an Oromo with some Amhra blood.

Menelik used Amhara for his own political power. Menelik was not a pure Amhara, His mother is probably an Oromo and his father was probably Amhara.

This is to demonstrate that the true Amhara are civilized and do not kill people. It is for the amhara to know who is real and false Amhara.

Communities like this in the video are genuine amharas. They love their country and people. They speak Amharic with some Tigrigna. They do not hate Tigrayans and are aware of the Oromo invasion of Ethiopia.

There are many similarities with Shoan amhara and South African Bantu dances as the following video illustrates.

There is a lot of similarity between Rwandan Bantu Traditional Dance and Shoa/Gonder Amhara dance as the following video shows. The Amhara have Aksumite clothes and some semetic elements. The Amhara are to a large extent Bantu immigrants as are The Oromos or Gallas. Menelik killed many Bantu who were settling in Ethiopia since 16th century. THis is wrong. why do the amhara hide their identity and steal history of aksumites (Tigrayans) as their own? Why do they hate Tigray and plan to destroy it since Menelik took power????????????

The dance is like Bantu. But the people are Semetic, specially those in Gonder, wollo and Gojamme, but also to a large extent Shoa amharas.
We should work on this that amharas are Semetic and they need to adjust their culture for example too much body movements while dancing should be discouraged etc.
In Eritrea and Tigray, there are also many like bantu looking people though they dance like Tigrayans.

I do not like agg’ame dance it’s very slow and boring. Agame does not dance all agg’ame does is walk in a circle nothing beat drum like monkey and scream tikruye via throat scratching language else u call a Dance

Pure amhara are around 2 million. Mixed amhara could be more. The Amhara, who have self-respect and are "chewa" - of noble origin are really 1-2 million, maybe less

Those Ethiopians claiming to be amharas have been a problem to Ethiopia because they do not know and accept the ancient history of Ethiopia. The bureaucracy is filled with people claiming to be Amhara, who are anti-Ethiopia. They use the system to help themselves and are enemies of Ethiopia.

The pure Amharas are Orthodox Christians and respect Tigrayan. The false Amharas are usually protestants or catholics and try to discredit Orthodox Christians. The false Amharas expand Islam in amhara region and Ethiopia.
