Mayor Eric Garcetti, had a zoom call with Eritrean-American youth on Saturday; he gave valuable advice on lessons they could learn from their Eritrean & American heritage and how they should be “Warriors” against Covid-19.

Mayor Eric Garcetti is no stranger to Eritrean history, identity and resilience. in his 1999 paper, he had this to say

the Eritrean nationalist model is a powerful source for social & political cohesion.

The company and Africa Finance Corporation have agreed to extend the deadline for completion of AFC’s Tranche 2 equity funding.


AFC remains committed to assist in delivering the world-class project in Eritrea

Danakali Ltd (ASX:DNK) (LON:DNK) (OTCMKTS:SBMSF) remains well-funded to complete planned development activities at the world-class Colluli Sulphate of Potash (SOP) Project in Eritrea assisted by equity funding from Africa Finance Corporation (AFC).

The US$21.5 million (A$31.8 million) first tranche funding of AFC’s overall US$150 million funding package was received previously while Tranche 2 funding of US$28.5 million (A$42 million) has now been deferred.

Extension agreed

This extension has been agreed by both parties to allow for the stabilisation of market and global conditions.

Due to AFC’s ongoing funding commitment for the development and construction of Colluli, the project remains on track for production during 2022.

Colluli is 100% owned by the Colluli Mining Share Company (CMSC), a 50:50 joint venture between Danakali and the Eritrean National Mining Corporation (ENAMCO).

Deadline now November 21

The deadline for Tranche 2 completion is now on or before November 21, 2020, which allows time for satisfaction of the remaining conditions precedent.

It is considered necessary in response to, amongst other things, the constraints arising from global restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Danakali's chief executive officer Niels Wage said:

The progress reflects the constructive dialogue and partnership between the company and AFC, which is highlighted by the recent appointment to the board of AFC’s president and CEO Samaila D Zubairu and senior director for Investment Operations and Execution Taiwo Adeniji as non-executive directors.

AFC remains committed to Colluli and has reiterated its confidence in delivery and success of the project.

AFC continues to be a great supporter of Colluli and we are confident in Danakali’s competence to successfully deliver the project.

We remain committed to our US$150 million funding across the CMSC Senior Debt and equity investments.

Danakali is continuing with planned corporate initiatives and is undertaking the current activities related to EPCM Phase 2.

AFC is an Africa-focused multilateral financial institution covering three complementary service areas: project development, financial advisory and principal investing.

In addition to these core services, AFC has significant experience and expertise in project management and will ensure that the objectives of all parties involved are met through careful monitoring of the project from beginning to end.

AFC’s core mission is to address Africa’s infrastructure development needs while seeking a competitive return on capital for its shareholders.

Danakali has completed a Front End Engineering Design (FEED) for the production of potassium sulphate, otherwise known as Sulphate of Potash, from Colluli.

SOP is a chloride-free, specialty fertiliser which carries a substantial price premium relative to the more common potash type; potassium chloride or MOP.

May & June are historic and sacrosanct months for Eritrea. In May, we celebrate in unison, our hard-won independence. In June, we pay tribute to our Martyrs & commemorate the precious sacrifices of three generations of our best sons & daughters who made this dream possible




July has also gained that stature since the signing of the historic Eritrea-Ethiopia Peace Agreement in that month in 2018. In this respect, Eritrea has zero-tolerance for all detractors who attempt/concoct reversal of these historic gains under various subterfuges/machinations.

The Sick Minded Eritrean Opposition Groups Are Still at it.

On may the 15, 2020, the opposition group who are the enemies of the Eritrean masses and the Eritrean Government have recently sent a request to the UN Human Rights Council, Geneva. They are appealing to extend the mandate of the Special Rapporteur, Ms Sheila Keetharuth to come back again to fraudulently abuse the Government of Eritrea on false allegations of Human Rights violations again. The Opposition groups are requesting that this known criminally inclined individual, who has demonstrated her complete willingness to persecute the government of Eritrea, instead of giving them her professional none biased opinion in regards to human rights. Therefore, the opposition groups by knowingly engaging and requesting for Sheila they themselves are engaging in criminal infringement against the government and the Eritrean masses.

The opposition group who are the enemies of the Eritrean masses and the Eritrean Government, have made many unbelievable attempts to convert Eritrean youths (via online media) in the Diaspora to be on the wrong side of history like them. Instead, they have failed miserably. Many Eritrean youths in the Diaspora who are the natural defenders of their homeland, have been openly accusing the opposition groups through a variety of social media - and some even confronting them with physical actions on a daily basis.

The oppositions who are continuing the Obama’s Administration’s policy toward Eritrea, of continuously attacking the Eritrean Government. The aim of these tactics were to cause disunity amongst the Eritrean masses, as well as causing disharmony of all the nine Eritrean tribes. This will keep the Eritrean government from achieving a full blown developmental plans. The goal of the opposition groups who always have sick intention to divide the Eritrean people through regional sections and by religious beliefs in order to bring fear and inner strife among the Eritrean masses, but all these wishes resulted in total failures and their dreams shattered again and again.

Eritrean detractors have realized a fundamental truth – when we (the masses) sense mortal danger we unite, we mobilize and we come out fighting hard and we fight only to win. We have demonstrated this courageous behavior under many conditions; including war conditions. We gain willingness to sacrifice with our resilience, over the morally bankrupted opposition groups. In a paradoxical and unexpected way, attacking Eritrean masses means that it just serves only to strengthen us, unlike your expectation from the Woyane military might.

Any Woyane military forces who were to be believed by the oppositions to have the capacity for arming, training and deploying large conventional armies are not available now. Don’t expect big hope from the Woyane of Tigray to attack Eritrea with jets and tanks anytime soon – they will be basically destroyed in no time, by the Eritrean military and Ethiopian federal military powers. The Woyane’s ability to fight with Eritrea is at its lowest, not even with their charade talk of conventional war.
