Mekelle should have underground railway network, connecting most of the suburbs around the city.
It is estimated the population in Mekelle might hit one million in 5-10 years.
In 30 years, Mekelle will be having a population around 10 million.
Mekelle is attractive to business and science as it the only ancient town in Africa that was a
capital of an important emperor- Yohannes IV and enjoys the privilege not to have been in foreign hands. Mekelle as the rest of Ethiopia was always free. Mekelle was built by Tigray Ethiopians from a scratch. It was a market town in 13th Century Ethiopia.
Mekelle is very suitable for air travel as it is close to Middle East and Europe. It is also close to The Red Sea.
We hope the government of Tigray is looking for international investors to start Mekelle underground rail network. London, Moscow, Paris are known to have beautiful underground rail networks.
The underground rail networks could have underground shops and hospitals or clinics, which is important if war breaks from hostile nations such as Eritrea or Egypt.
