Egyptian newspapers and their tools in the Middle East are stirring a conflict. First they wrote about Ethiopia's government handing out lands to Sudan. That was designed to stirr up anti-government and anti-Sudan feeling in Ethiopia. That didn't work because Ethiopians felt this is Egyptian intelligence work to creat a wedge. When that is not working the same intelligence service of Egypt want to stirr hard feeling in Sudan to trigger a military coup d'etat in Sudan.

The biggest threat for Sudan is military coup d’état in Sudan. It is exactly what Egypt did in 1958 to overthrow democratically elected president to replace it by a general who served in Egyptian army. Then Egypt forced Sudan to allocate 3 time more water to Egypt denying Sudan to use Nile.

That could be true too. But either way, it's not in either countries interests to fight.

Egypt's last and best chance is dragging Ethiopia into war with one of its neighbours. The Egyptian medias are trying to do that. Don't fall for that.

This is an old news. The article was written on April 27, 2020. Since then there was high level communication between the two countries. Besides, the article is vague on substance ; it is just spreading rumors to stir unrest in the region.

KHARTOUM (Reuters) - A Sudanese military officer was killed and several soldiers wounded on Thursday in an attack by Ethiopian militias on the Sudanese side of the border with Ethiopia, the official SUNA news agency said.

In the eastern city of al-Qadarif, “Ethiopian militia penetrated through (the border) and attacked agricultural projects and clashed with military forces in Barkat Noreen camp,” SUNA added.

Sudan’s military spokesman said several soldiers were killed and wounded, blaming militias “supported by Ethiopia,” according to SUNA.
