The Republic of Tigray is one of the ancient countries in the world. It's history stretches for more than 5000 years. 99% of the population is Orthodox Christian belonging to The Tigrayan Orthodox Church, which uses mainly Geez to preach the word of The Holy Spirit. The Holy City of Aksum is the seat of the Tigrayan Orthodox Church.
Tigray has a population of 10 million, where the female population is slightly higher.
Tigray has an area of about 100000 square kilometers or about 60000square miles.
Wuqro will be the capital city of Tigray. Mekelle, Aksum, Alamata and Shire Endaselassie will be federal cities.
