Happy Independence day all

24th of may will soon be here, And it will be 29 years since we got our independence. A day that took unimaginable sacrifices and hard-work to achieve against all odds. But by which in the process it created a fertile field of spirit filled by brotherhood, sisterhood and care of common interest.
That is the reason why every Eritrean hold that particular date with much devotion and admiration to remember its path and work even harder to make better outcome of its main result which is Independence.
But, unfortunately we have not been successful on the last one. Because, by design or incompetence we have not been giving any parameter with which we can influence the direction of our nation.
To influence people and country. You need trust worthy institutions that provide people with studied information. In most western countries different universities of those countries have that functions.
They make studies on different fields and specially about how different political policies and procedures affects different part of the society. Based on that studies, can then, different political figures compete about how better they will improve the result.
If there is no such kinds of institutions, people become misinformed and get easily targetted by what we call (03) or misinformers for different reasons. And people start to react in a destructive way. Because they will not have any better option to focus their attention at. Other than what they have been lead to talk about. Most countries with government that is very shy to its people and most of all fear responsibility opt to work in such kinds of atmosphere.
My message to all my country men and women is to consider all information that we get this days with a little pinch of salt as long as it is not based on a well studied informations with available preferences.
And Happy Independence day all and may God bless us with many more celebrations filled with joy and happiness. Glory To Our Martyrs.
