According to insiders within Ezema Party, heavy criticism is tearing apart the Party after news coming out of the Party that Dr. Birhanu Nega will abandon Ezema and join Dr. Abiye's Belsigina Party. Dr. Birhanu told his inner circle that it would be good if Ezema as a party join Belsignia and that if what he sees most of his comrades not happy with that, he told them that he will jump ship and join Belsigina.

Former EDP chair and Semeyawi officials who joined Dr. Birhanu after he dissolved Ginbot 7 and created Ezema are scratching their head and have remorse that they believed in Dr. Birhanu and now he is abandoning them within such a short period of time, One year.

Close confidants who talked to Birhanu said that after arriving in Addis , he thought that using ESAT and the name Ginbot 7, he was going to over run the political space in Ethiopia easily. He miscalculated so badly, so much so that he had to stop the bleeding of Ginbot 7 leadership, whom all resigned. So he created Ezema and those in ESAT who are not on board were kicked out of ESAT. A year now with Ezema, Birhanu now sees that he hardly can win any seats in an election except a couple of them in Addis. His miscalculated attack on the Amhara and Oromo elits, only got him no chance of winning a single seat in those region if and when elections are held. His only safe bet was Addis Ababa and watching his space shrink by the day where, Bilsigina, Oromo Parites, Lidetu's EDP, Eskinder Nega's group and ABEN of Amhara , all put their teeth in Addis and the chance of Birhanu winning anything of substance came to a halting screeching stop.

Having seen his stature diminish by the day, he started colluding with Dr. Abiye, ignoring any mistakes and or problems including killings of the innocent just to show his allegiance to Dr. Abiye. So much so , Ezema Party members in droves left the party in recent months. If not for his total control of ESAT which is his mouth piece, Birhanu knows very well, he is in decline and so he decided to practically be Dr. Abiye's spokesman. All this is not for his usual rant about democracy, freedom of speech, etc but his egoistic love for power.

Dr. Abiye knows well how Birhanu is playing his game and Dr. Abiye is taking full advantage of it. Who would blame him? Birhanu is bashing opposition day in -day out to please him. The only question remaining is will Dr. Abiye save and take in Dr. Birhanu Nega as member of his Party? knowing well the history of Birhanu's betrayal and sell out of his comrades in his 40 years in politics.

You are wrong in stating that the "bashing" is to please the PM. Dr. Birhanu is "bashing" the opposition because most of the opposition leaders are constantly lying BIG White lies in front of the public eyes and through that subject themselves by themselves to the bashing and more bashing both from Dr. Birhanu and all the others. Can't you see for yourself that mnany of these opposition propagandists telling the public that even Pigs may fly kind of magical fake propaganda just for the purpose of dividing, hypnotizing and capturing state power for making money for themselves at least for very short time while the ordinary Ethiopians remain wretched as always for the last some 3000 years.

UPDATE: Anudalem Arage in his latest interview warned Birhanu Nega that if he continues to push Ezema to join Belsigina, he would resign. The unraveling and miscalculation by Birhanu Nega is very damaging Ezema to its core. It seems thou that Birhanu Nega will leave Ezema and join Dr. Abiye since his sole mission in life is to assume power.

UPDATE: ESAT is also not immune from the turmoil since Birhanu Nega owns ESAT, literally. Two groups emerged within ESAT, one supporting Birhanu and others against the idea. The life line of ESAT is Birhanu Nega and from financial position, they are dependent on him. People like Sisya within ESAT are heavily criticized for selling his soul and instead of being a true journalist, he is following orders like a cadre suppressing free speech and ideas.

Will keep you updated on the unraveling. Some news is coming out of ADDIS is that Dr. Abiye will ask Ezema and others to join his Party as coalition to get relief from the pressure of the new constitutional crises. Will verify this and come back soon.........
