Any responsible government would like to have a healthy relationship with neighboring governments. In fact, it strives to achieve that. Now, by some Ethiopian “politicians” the Abiy and Isayes heathy political friendship is interpreted as a political malpractice. Why ? The answer is clear. These politicians take orders from TPLF. The tribal politicians think Isayes believe tribal politics to Ethiopia is a disaster. The relationship of the two leaders, they reasoned reasonably, will kill tribal politics in Ethiopia. To weaken and destroy Abiy politically, they reasoned, not unwisely, it is prudent to focus their attack on Isayes who might support Abiy’s inclination to do away with tribal politics. But they are partly true. Yes, Abiy and Isayes are not “ Aksum to the Welamo menunew” kind of politicians. Their cooperation might influence the future of Ethiopian politics. But the other part of the equation is the great majority of Ethiopians detest ethnic politics because they lived through it. The bad news for Jawar, Bekele Gerba, and the TPLF political elites is their kind is in the process of dying, and it will never recover.
Some of ask what is there for Lidetu ? Why he is consumed of hating Isayes ? The answer is the whole Isayes basing is orchestrated from Mekele. Lidetu takes his orders from Mekele.
