You should remember the fact that thousands of Oromo youth continuously protested, resisted and got the tplf dictator barons off from their neck. Defendthetruth, The Ethiopian political jigsaw puzzle we have to put together requires a balancing act. Only when that balancing act is achieved that the extremist element in our society going to be kept at bay. If one side scale the balance in its favor and gains the upper hand the center loses control. The extreme elements want to dictate, but the majority of Ethiopians want a negotiated common solution for our social ills. In all of these though the political elements that shouldn’t come to the negotiation table is the freedom of Ethiopians to live freely in their own country without being regarded as a second citizen wherever they chose to live. Defendthetruth, The Ethiopian political jigsaw puzzle we have to put together requires a balancing act. Only when that balancing act is achieved that the extremist element in our society going to be kept at bay. If one side scale the balance in its favor and gains the upper hand the center loses control. The extreme elements want to dictate, but the majority of Ethiopians want a negotiated common solution for our social ills. In all of these though the political elements that shouldn’t come to the negotiation table is the freedom of Ethiopians to live freely in their own country without being regarded as a second citizen wherever they chose to live. My view about the extreme elements in our society is that they have to cancel each other out for us to have an open political space to negotiate. Regarding ABN, I am certain that after 27 years of Weyane marginalization of Amharas by directly putting the most anti-Amharas weyanes, the likes of bereket and his ilks, on the helm, they were able to cause havoc in Amhara region because weyanes consider Amharas their mortal enemy . Now the like of Jawar wants to take the baton from weyanes and wants to keep marginalizing Amharas. Well, in fact that was what I was trying to get to: you are telling me that your side of the extrimists deserves protection and tolerance while the other side of the same extrimists earned just condemnation for Ethiopia to preserver and prosper. Did I miss something here?

DefendTheTruth , You kind of conveniently summarized the whole thing, assigning equal extreme labels on both groups, then you have come to another convenient conclusion that if you protect one you can not blame the other, and called it a day.
Let me pose two questions before I try to answer your question. 1. can you give me each group's extreme nature, and on a practical level how do they compare.? 2. And how best to neutralize them, or do we need to neutralize them (not meant violently) and how given the facts on the ground?
