Coronavirus sends Ethiopia into a constitutional crisis. PM Abiy discusses the issue with opposition parties.
Due to coronavirus Ethiopia can't hold its election before the end of the term of this government. Election is expected to be held way after the September deadline making the current federal and regional parliaments and governments without any legitimacy. There is nothing in the constitution for unexpected natural disasters like this. Coronavirus is sending Ethiopia into a constitutional crisis. The good news is that ordinary Ethiopians at large are not so much into election this time around.
