Ethiopia should learn from Nigeria - we need a federal state with 30 or more regional states

Nigeria (923768 sq. km) is smaller than Ethiopia (1,104,300 sq km)in size and twice more populated than Ethiopia. Nigeria has 36 federal states and a well functioning federal government.
Nigeria is viewed as a multinational state as it is inhabited by over 250 ethnic groups, of which the three largest are the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba; these ethnic groups speak over 500 distinct languages and are identified with a wide variety of cultures. Most people in the country speak Afroasiatic languages of the Cushitic or Semitic branches. Additionally, Omotic languages are spoken by ethnic minority groups inhabiting the southern regions. Nilo-Saharan languages are also spoken by the nation's Nilotic ethnic minorities.
